I drop that F bomb often. I mean, daily. I cuss. A lot. I have heard people say that sweet southern girls don’t cuss.
Well, let me let you in on something. First, I was born in
the south, Texas, to be precise, but I raised up North where the winters suck
ass. So, I am happier in the South and feel like I have always belonged here.
But if it isn’t everyday some damn fool makes me cuss. It could be traffic, some news on the radio,
or in most cases, some jackass on the phone.
If you ever worked in customer service, you would feel me
when I say, Fuuuuuuuck.
Like, you can pretty much tell within 30 seconds how the
phone conversation is going to go and know you will be needing some Advil when you hang
up. Now, being as my job does require a level of customer service, I do get to experience
these lovely people daily. Now it's not always their fault, maybe, sort of. I
mean, they could have woken up and had a big bowl of Bitch Krispies, or Captain
Twat for breakfast. And decided that the next victim would be me on the phone.
NEWS FLASH-This just in. I don’t fucking think so. The one thing customer service
has taught me, it's not personal. I will let them vent, tell their story, state
the complaints, make a plea, whatever gets all those words out of their piehole
the quickest so I can end the conversation. Now, depending on those exact words,
1 of 2 things will happen.
#1 I will be understanding, and able to fulfill your request
and get you back on that magical fucking unicorn so you can ride right on out
of my life for the day.
Or
#2 Bitch mode activated. Now, you should know, songs play in
my head daily, some come out, but depending on the situation. Have you seen
that show Zoey’s magical playlist or something like that? Its like that, only
thank goodness I don’t zone out and envision my coworkers singing and dancing along.
Ha! Who spiked the coffee? Anyway. Do you know how many songs have NO in them?
LOL –
No more Mr. Nice Guy – Alice Cooper
No - Megan Trainor
No No No No No – Destiny’s Child
No Diggity – Blackstreet
Well, you get the point. And all great songs BTW. But I always maintain professionalism
and shit, because you got to adult in the office. But when I hang up, you bet
your ass I am saying out loud, but maybe not loudly, all that shit you just
made me go thru. I once read keeping feelings bottled up are
bad and strain you emotionally. No one needs that. Now I’m not off on a full rant
there. I mean, I have coworkers, I’m not an impolite bitch. Sometimes I just flip
over some paper on my desk and write out a few choice names and then back to
business. Besides I save the juicy cusses for the ride home or I can always vent
to my gals in the office. Most of them get it and go thru it themselves. So,
think about that a minute. The next time you get attitude with someone in
customer service. They are going to talk shit about you when you leave. So
chose your path wisely.
NOT YOURS, BUT TRULY
